The works speaks about dispossession of my peoples and lands of the Mackay region. Archival images have been reproduced on large scale drawing but it’s not quite what it seems like the paper is separated into all different sizes. This tells a story of my people’s separation and the effects of settler influence as can be shown within the drawing, the western belongings that were placed onto Aboriginal peoples and forced removals off from country. With this work the artist hopes the audience will get a sense of the history and how it is still affecting communities today.
