Casey Chen's solo exhibition Another Jingdezhen Car Boot Sale, is an eclectic and playful collection of ceramics masterfully painted using traditional techniques. Toying with the kitschy aesthetics of nostalgic daytime cartoons and ready made cultural paraphernalia, these works challenge notions of taste, value, and tradition. Pushing his technical range, this show is Casey's most ambitious body of work to date, exploring the nature of contemporary culture and historicisation.
Louise Zhang’s solo exhibition Moving in Quiet, is an exploration of cultural heritage and third-culture identity through new and iconic works. Inspired by her recent trip to China, the exhibition invites viewers to slow down and uncover intricate narratives within elements of traditional architecture and ethereal landscapes.
