Christopher Zanko finalist in 2022 Sulman Prize with his work Bulli, Rock Steady.
Set against the backdrop of Wollongong in NSW, this painting is concerned with the vulnerability to changing demographics of an area once defined by coal mining, steelmaking and allied industry. While our aesthetic styles differ, the collaboration seeks to find a moment of certainty in Wollongong’s continuous state of flux.
